Terpene Spotlight: Trans-Nerolidol

Trans-nerolidol, also called nerolidol, is a secondary terpene found in cannabis, tea tree, jasmine, ginger, and lemongrass. Although Trans-Nerolidol is a secondary terpene, it still packs some powerful therapeutic and medicinal benefits. We like to think of it as small but mighty. Plants that contain Trans-Nerolidol were traditionally used as natural disinfectants, which sparked more research into its medicinal benefits. Terpenes like Trans-Nerolidol are added into our products to enhance the natural benefits of cannabis and offset the anxiety causing effects that can be associated with certain strains.

Research has just begun to uncover how important terpenes are to the overall therapeutic quality of the whole cannabis plant and cannabis products. It grows that way in nature, which is why we believe that terpenes need to be reintroduced to maintain what research has uncovered. Trans-Nerolidol was first extensively researched for therapeutic uses as an anti-parasitic, anti-fungal, and anti-bacterial, but studies have also uncovered that it also has the following potential benefits:

  • Anti-fungal
  • Anti-oxidant
  • Sedative
  • Anti-Cancer
  • Anti-Anxiety
  • Anti-Bacterial

If you are intrigued by the benefits of Trans-Nerolidol and are looking to incorporate into your cannabis routine, look no further than our Serenity THCa tincture. Our Serenity THCa is the only product that has Trans-Nerolidol included in its proprietary terpene blend. No terpene is overlooked when we research which blend is perfect for each of our products. Terpenes like Trans-Nerolidol are added back into our products to ensure the maximum therapeutic benefits of the tincture.
